the cornerHOUSE notice board

CornerHOUSE Radio Shorts was our very own Covid-proof challenge. It was November 2020, and with lockdown and no live events possible we invited submissions for a 7-10 minute original radio play – performed by whoever was gathered at home and recorded as an Mp3.
We were looking for a number of good plays that would make for an interesting selection to feature on our website rather than a single “winner”. The recordings were assessed anonymously by a panel of listeners and each of the twelve selected plays were posted in early 2021 on consecutive days at midday under the overall title “12 at 12”.
A second round in November 2021 yielded still more talent for writing, devising sound effects and performing at home. Here you’ll find the full eighteen selected “CornerHOUSE Radio” plays – with everything from spacecraft tourism to suburban thriller to the more comedic frustrations of lockdown life for your enjoyment.
Why not sample one a day between April 25th to 12th May?
