Please feel to prepare some questions for me. The people buried in this cemetery, most abandoned and forgotten, have living relatives among us today. Many, perhaps most of them had what we would today describe as a minor and probably transient mental health episode but were locked away for years. This is part of our nation’s history that is more or less hidden in plain sight, yet it is replicated all over the UK.
