Terry told us this about the exhibition and his art.

I was trained at the Cambridge School of Art studying Photography and Graphics and spent my professional career (33) in Advertising and marketing whilst also being a full time Illustrator with commissions for the Radio Times, Boots, Financial Times, Company Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and exhibited in Bristol, France and the Oxford Art Festival.

At first an art director, and a illustrator, in advertising and publishing, now a painter and a photographer I work digitally with material created from trips to Crete, Portugal, Norway and France. Like most artists, I had to adapt to covid-19. For me this meant refining a digital practice. It allowed me to sketch quickly outdoors and return to the studio to execute paintings on my tablet. It’s challenging with often unexpected results. My last trip to Tromsø, Norway resulted in a collection called ‘Tirpitz and pTarmigan’ using photographs and painted elements of the environment where the German battleship Tirpitz sunk.
