Drawn to Nature

Anna studied a Fine Art BA at Newcastle University and in Germany. She specialised in sculpture before completing a Contemporary Ceramics Diploma at the City Lit in London and is influenced by the natural world; Anna makes ceramic sculptures and paintings in her studio in South West London.

‘Making ceramics and paintings is a meditation for me; the pieces grow from a core fascination with process and experimentation.

The ceramic vessels and paintings reflect the garden surroundings of my studio and are layered; combining sketches in situ as well as working from memory, alongside the spontaneous rhythms of various techniques and processes woven together’

Recent exhibitions include Spectrum and Recollect at One Paved Court, and Kingston Artists Open studios at Dorich House Museum. Anna’s work has been featured in 1000 Vases Paris edition, Officine Saffi Gallery, Milan and in Ceramics Review magazine.
