Pathways of Discovery - An exhibition of work by Adam Fisher

Our first exhibition for 2022 showcases the work of Adam Fisher

‘Being able to visually express my subconscious and conscious thoughts has always helped me navigate my life’. Adam sees his work as a visual diary of the past, present and future and has deep emotional attachments to the meanings behind the images. These images can be interpreted differently depending on the viewers individual perspective.

Adam began painting around the age of 16 years old. Experimenting with many styles and techniques until gradually landing on a couple of styles which he believed to be an accurate representation of his taste and personality. He believes this experimenting to be the precondition of his personal self-discovery. Landscapes, (fictional and non-fictional) have always been his main sources of inspiration. This stemmed from childhood and adulthood treks, long walks and holidays in the countryside which offered him the chance to take a step away from the everyday stresses and possibly readjust or tweak his direction in life.

‘Painting, (digitally and physically) has given me the opportunity to communicate and relate to people beyond what words could achieve. I have dived into deeper analysis of my own work in recent years and have noticed the cause and effect of experience transmuting into winding pathways of discovery inviting you across a landscape of colour’.

Some of his influences in the art world which helped shape his work include, David Hockney, Wassily Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso and Van Gough.
