Irina Taneva and Her Students – 5th Annual Group Exhibition
Irina Taneva (Iri IR) is an internationally recognised fine artist and teacher based in Kingston. Holding a Master of Arts, a BA (Hons) in Teaching Art, and a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design, she studied at Central Saint Martins (UAL, London) and the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. Her expressive works—ranging from oil on canvas to richly layered mixed media—are held in a museum and private collections worldwide, celebrated for their warmth, colour, and emotional depth.
In April 2026, Irina was awarded Best Micro/Freelance Business at the Kingston Borough Business Awards, recognising her dedication to art and her ongoing commitment to bringing creative opportunities to the local community through her teaching, alongside her own artistic practice.
Blooming Through Colour exhibition brings together a unique collective of Irina and her students, whose ages range from 4 to 94, reflecting a vibrant and inclusive creative journey across generations. Working in small groups across the Kingston Borough, these artists come together once a year to share their work in a collective exhibition—sharing a vibrant and heartfelt expression of growth, exploration, and individuality.
Like the unfolding of an orchid, each artwork represents a moment of becoming—shaped by time, patience, and imagination. Together, the exhibition celebrates not only finished works, but the process of learning, experimenting, and blooming as artists.
This annual exhibition is both a celebration of Irina’s art club and an invitation into a welcoming creative community. Visitors are warmly invited to experience and collect original artworks, and to step into a creative community that continues to grow year after year.
