Selected Performance

About

The Wilderness Yet combine the acclaimed talents of folksinger Rosie Hodgson, traditional fiddler Rowan Piggott, and guitarist-flautist Philippe Barnes. Independently, they have earned audiences’ esteem as consummate musicians; together, they weave an eclectic tapestry of traditional and original songs and tunes; from a cappella three-part harmonies to luscious instrumental arrangements. Their studio album, What Holds The World Together, was released in July 2022, with rave reviews from across the folk scene and airplay on BBC Radio 2, 3 and 6. As we head into the festive season, the trio will also be treating us to material from their winter album, Turn the Year Round, which features beautifully arranged re-writes of classic carols and seasonal favourites.

Tickets are £18.00 and are available on-line in advance from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/FolkthecornerHOUSE

Folk@thecornerHOUSE is a monthly series of concerts showcasing the best in folk music. The aim is to present a wide variety of performers in the wonderful intimate setting of The Corner House. There are too few venues in Surrey providing outlets for the dazzling wealth of talent available on the folk scene and this venture will hopefully go a long way towards filling that void.
