This talk will explore the early history of the river Thames, England’s foremost river. In particular the various roles it performed for the communities who lived along its banks: as a shaper of landscape; provider of natural resources; artery of communication; physical and psychological boundary; and sacred stream.
Doors open at 7.00pm. Talk starts at 7.30pm
