I Was Just Saying... and Tick My Box!

Fri 26 - Sat 27 Feb 2010

Seven hot-to-trot dates, and an unending supply of Pinot Grigio are the basis for a new comedy show coming to the cornerHOUSE in February.
The blokes and the booze are the subject of local comedy talent Sian Hutchinson’s new one-woman show Tick My Box!, which will be performed at the arts centre in Douglas Road, Tolworth, on February 26-27.
Tick My Box! the follow-up to the highly successful Clutching at Straws, which got Sian nominated for last year’s Funny Women Fringe Award at the Edinburgh Festival, is part of a double bill of entertainment.
Also on the menu will be a new sketch show called I Was Just Saying… Written and performed by both Sian and co-star Ashley Hope Allan, it promises ‘warped and outrageously funny humour packed into bite-sized pieces’.
Dylan Costello, who is directing Tick My Box!, said: “It is guaranteed to have you emitting trouser-splitting howls of laughter. Tick My Box! is premiering at the cornerHOUSE, so it is a chance for locals to be among the first to see this hilarious new show before it transfers to London.”
In Tick My Box!, Sian plays booze-soaked and unlucky-in-love Suzi, who has had enough after being dumped by the love of her life, Dave.
Determined to prove him wrong, Suzi re-embraces men the only way she knows – with seven dates, bags of dogged persistence and a copious bottle of Pinot Grigio – all in one evening.
Sit back and squirm with laughter as you are privy to the worst evening ever in Suzi’s disastrous love life.
The evening is suitable for over 18s only as there is strong language and adult humour.
