Auditions for this year’s cornerHOUSE Christmas Cabaret are on Sunday, November 15 at 8pm.
Anyone is welcome to come along to the arts centre in Douglas Road, Tolworth, with a favourite seasonal song, sketch or monologue for consideration.
The musical director for this year’s show is Alan Durham, the director at St Matthew’s Church, St Matthew's Avenue, Surbiton. His extensive experience as a professional musician covers a broad classical repertoire as well as playing on cruise liners and in rock bands.
The Christmas Cabaret is on Saturday, December 5 at 8pm.
Admission is free, but, because of seating limits, tickets are required.
“It’s a way for the cornerHOUSE to thank our audiences for their support during the year,” said cabaret director Barry Rocard.
“The evening is a mix of traditional and contemporary music and drama – fun with a festive air.”
The Christmas Cabaret started two years ago by accident.
A cabaret booking was cancelled at short notice and so a few of the cornerHOUSE “regulars” put together a replacement show within a week of going on stage.
