Unplugged at the cornerHOUSE

Fri 27 Nov 2009

You could be part of Kingston’s Festival of the Voice in Unplugged at the cornerHOUSE in November.

The event, which showcases vocal talent, is open to those who would like to be part of an open mic session at the arts centre in Douglas Road, Tolworth.

If you are a singer and/or acoustic musician, why not add your name to the bill which is topped by local singer-songwriter Aaron Norton and singer and accordionist Hannah Rose Tristram? The event is being compered by Nick Poole of the poetry and music group Rhythm and Muse in Teddington.

“Unplugged at the cornerHOUSE offers a stage for local musicians to share their songs and musical talent in front of a live audience,” said Kingston Arts Council’s events manager Alison Hill.

“The event is taking place as part of the arts council’s third Festival of the Voice, which draws upon a wealth of rich and varied vocal talent locally as well as featuring a range of international artists and groups.”

For more details of the event or to book a place for an open mic spot email alison-hill@blueyonder.co.uk

Further information on the festival, which runs from November 14-28 and includes more than 20 music and song events, can be viewed at kac.org.uk
