If you love the great musicals of the 20th century, then come and help the cornerHOUSE celebrate its 100th birthday through a unique show, to be performed in September.

Auditions for A Century in Song will take place on Tuesday, June 30 and Sunday July 5, at the arts centre in Douglas Road, Tolworth. Everyone is welcome.

A strong singing voice is obviously important, but there will also be some speaking roles available.

Musical directors Keesha McLean and Nic Luker are preparing an entertaining programme which will take the audience through the 100-year history of the cornerHOUSE.Each decade will be brought to life with a song from a great musical – some will be well known classics, some less so. But this will be more than a concert, for the evening will feature short scenes and narration, leading into many of the musical numbers.

Auditions will take place at the cornerHOUSE at 7.30pm on June 30, and 2pm on Sunday July 5. There is no need to prepare anything in advance, although if you are auditioning as a singer, and have a personal favourite, then bring sheet music along and Nic and Keesha will do their best to accommodate you.
