A 25-strong choir of a cappella singers will perform well-loved jazz songs and popular classics at the cornerHOUSE on Friday, March 13.
City Lit Acappella, with a guest appearance from eight-piece, semi-professional group Breathing Space, will be staging unaccompanied arrangements of songs like My Funny Valentine, How High the Moon, This Old Heart of Mine, and Can’t Buy Me Love, as well as a sprinkling of original songs.
This vibrant group has wowed audiences at the cornerHOUSE on a number of occasions, and has appeared at various venues throughout London, most recently at Stratford Circus theatre and Pizza on the Park.
The group’s director Della Rhodes, who devises the innovative vocal arrangements, said: “If a cappella means barbershop or choir to you, then this voice ensemble will be a revelation.” |
