Our February exhibition features the work of Paul Atkins.
Paul started taking photographs back in the 70s on 35mm. He says that ‘over the years I have migrated to digital but being old school I have resisted the urge to use Photoshop or other enhancement programmes believing that the raw image is far more truthful than something that has been ‘enhanced’ to death.’
Now retired, Paul’s day job was as an IT Specialist with an international maritime company and worked in many countries around the world. The only drawback with this was that in many cases he only saw the airport, his hotel and the office normally working to tight deadlines. Since retirement he has travelled to some (and hope visit more) of the countries he visited for business and had the luxury of time to capture images which interested him.
The exhibition runs from February 2nd to March 1st with a Meet The Artist night on Tuesday Feb 4 from 7pm.
